If you have a chance, you must visit the 1961 chapel of St. Joseph's Morrow Park on Bayview. It has to be the most exquisite modern church in Toronto and an outstanding example of mid century modern. Sadly, the Sisters of St. Joseph have sold the property and in the near future it will be closed. See it while you can.Square With Flairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10587474304650348836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2922868706165678396.post-14874885098842884642010-08-10T22:01:51.510-04:002010-08-10T22:01:51.510-04:00What breathtaking Art Deco architecture. Much of the beauty of these interiors comes from the fine materials...bronze, marble, engraved glass etcetera, used in a very simple and refined way. It does indeed recall Eaton's College Street, The George V in Paris, and the great 1930s ocean liners. Interesting article and photos.Square With Flairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10587474304650348836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2922868706165678396.post-53081461927358034622010-08-10T13:08:35.150-04:002010-08-10T13:08:35.150-04:00I don't know why but there is something specia...I don't know why but there is something special about dining in a space with excessive height.
