  1. Really? Is it just me or are these pictures hysterical? I have a feeling David that you have a good sense of humor!

  2. Hello David:
These women are not at all used to wearing hats - and it shows. And where are the gloves? And where is the understated elegance? And where, oh where, is this all going?

    There'll be tears before bedtime.....

  3. Charlene Wittstock is going to make a beautiful princess - thought she looked smashing.

And, you are so right about the gloves.

  5. I had no idea of the tradition of the utterly nutty hats. Like American Black Church Ladies. I love the idea of art on top of one's heads.

  6. I wonder how many hat's Philip Treacy made for the wedding?

  11. Frankly, I was sorely disappointed with the "fashion" on parade at the wedding (and let's not even get started on Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice). I agree with the above comment that none of these women looked remotely comfortable in their own skin (or hats), which automatically negates any hope for savoir faire, no matter how beautiful and/or expensive your ensemble might be. Everyone looked as if they were in costume, rather than effortless and elegant.
