One Week to Go!

Well, followers it is a week today that Savoir Faire leaves on vacation. Needless to say we cannot wait to be tramping the Great Wall of China and experiencing the countless other delights that China has to offer, chicken feet and all.

Of course, one asks the question what do I pack for a whirlwind 10 days in China? While I have the basics planned, Catherine over at The Fashionable Traveller has at least solved the problem with her post Fake Bags. I have always considered myself a good packer; however Catherine gives some great tips, which I will definitely be using.

Have a wonderful weekend all!

  7. Ni Hao David,

I am an old China hand, having lived in Beijing for a number of years, and number one son still lives in Shanghai.

You might want to check out the ober stylish Green T House or Green T Living in Beijing (bring your wallet), and say hello to the owner JinR from her friend Marjorie. The Dirt Market in Beijing is great fun - go early.

    Have fun!

  11. China! What a great choice!!! I can only imagine how many discoveries are waiting for you on your vocation and how many wonderful posts will come out of it. One day, I promise, to gather enough courage to go to China and India. Right now the shier image of red flags and communist tendensies scare the living soul out of me. I have had enough of it growing up. :-)))
