I had to chuckle about the salesperson at Marimekko. Every time I've taken photographs in stores, I've felt like an industrial spy.
Hello:It is very strange how people react to the taking of photographs in certain situations which, one believes, to be completely without controversy.
Pictures without permission are the best ones :-)
well do tell, just how friendly were the Finns?
I love the last poster! Makes me want to smile.
It sounds absolutely amazing. I dream of having the chance to travel a lot more, and you often remind me of that! :)xoRachel
that joy to be back and enjoy the glamor that I always find here!A big hugelena
i want marimekko fabric curtains for my kitchen but it's too $$$!
It's got to be all that Marimekko that makes them friendly. Can't help but be friendly looking at that stuff.
Finland, Norway and Sweden are definitely on the list for my next travel adventure. Sounds like you had great time in Finland! Happy weekend David and thank you for all your comments. Big hugs!
Marimekko prints are the best!!!xxxxxxxxxxx
Oh, yes, the problem taking photos. I've even had them ask me to stop when standing on the street. I always tell them to call the police, which they never do. Although maybe that isn't such a good idea in a foreign country.... I'm imagine being in a Finnish prison wearing a uniform of orange Marimekko stripes.
