Those Friendly Finns!

Needless to say, on our recent jaunt around the Baltic, we just could not get over how friendly the Finns were!

Except for the girl at Marimekko who told me to stop taking photos (Ok, so I didn't ask permission, when I should have).


Helsinki was one of our favourite cities!

    I had to chuckle about the salesperson at Marimekko. Every time I've taken photographs in stores, I've felt like an industrial spy.

    It is very strange how people react to the taking of photographs in certain situations which, one believes, to be completely without controversy.

    Oh, yes, the problem taking photos. I've even had them ask me to stop when standing on the street. I always tell them to call the police, which they never do. Although maybe that isn't such a good idea in a foreign country.... I'm imagine being in a Finnish prison wearing a uniform of orange Marimekko stripes.
