Lets face it all, wherever you turn there is some item of news on the forthcoming Royal nupitals due to take place. I must admit it is a bit of an overload, however due to the backgrounds of the bride and groom, interest is at an all time high.
Digging back in the past was a Royal wedding full of savoir faire! Can you guess who the lucky couple are?

Hello David:
ReplyDeleteWe suspect this is Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark on the occasion of her marriage to the Duke of Kent in 1934. But why we should know this, when we have no interest in Royalty in general and the Royal Wedding in particular, is quite beyond us.
The Duke & Duchess Of Kent!
ReplyDeleteA+ for me!!
I have no idea haha! But I admit I do want to see the wedding and Kate´s dress....it could be a really beautiful and fairy tale event but the fact that they have been promoting it sooo excessively has made some people feel a little bitter towards it...I´ve watch some documentaries about Prince William and Kate and I do find it interesting...well I have always had a fascination with royal everything ahaha..secretly I´ve always wanted to be a Prince...or date one xD!!

i remember watching charles and diana when i was younger and being totally jealous. older and wiser now, but i still am oddly glued to it. I nearly burst into tears yesterday in a store seeing a magazine with pictures of diana and a headline how proud she would be of her son. the emotion is a mother son thing and not a royalist thing. but still, cant help getting excited!
ReplyDeleteDavid,
ReplyDeleteI've got to "hand" it to you re: your comment/pun on my last post. I was pleased with how my images turned out - must be because they were photographed with a "digital" camera!
Cheers,

I am not a royalist in my country (Spain) but I must confess to a weak spot for British pomp though, so elegant. There are, for me, some conflicting feelings around these things anyway, monarchy being such a weird institution in the Age of "Liberté-Égalité-Fraternité" (I have even got a tag in my blog to signal these conflicting issues).
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting about it in your wonderful blog. It is a way to make us all think a little bit on the matter too.
