Savoir Faire is just loving the Elie Tahari fall campaign. All the originality and sophistication of high 1930’s glamour is captured here with Film Noir undertones, albeit updated for the 21st century.
The richness of the colours and darkness of the environment is offset brilliantly with the white arum lilies (which just happen to be a favorite of mine).
Love! So wonderfully moody, and the hair and makeup is great too!
ReplyDeleteDavid, my very first really nice suit was a Tahari, a charcoal pinstripe with an asymmetrical closing on the jacket.
ReplyDeleteI loved that suit and wore it so much!

that's very cool, love the moody colours
ReplyDeletetop class photography!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment!
ReplyDeleteThey are trying to copyright the red sole's. But luckly, I bought a pair before they could do that haha. Louboutin is actually in the middle of trying to sue Yves Saint Laurent because they were coming out with a Red Sole line of there own.

A nice ad campaign, though we don't really see the clothing. In advertising we say that they're selling the sizzle instead of the steak. And they're cerainly serving up sizzle!
ReplyDeleteAs you pointed out, what's not to love? '30s, film noir, lilies ... and Tahari is always elegant and put-together.
ReplyDeleteLove this Elie Tahari campaign.
ReplyDeleteSome of these remind me so much of the old Yves Saint Laurent Opium advertisements which I've always found very beautiful...the orchids, strong shadows, pale complexions, Art Deco decor, etcetera.
ReplyDeletethe photographs are truly astonishing. i love both concept and execution here.
