Back in the Land of the Living

Well Savoir Faire’s, I am back in the land of the living, after being struck down with a version of the flu that I am sure they have not discovered yet!

Hence the lack of posts and comments on all your blogs. Needless to say in true savoir faire fashion I was guzzling any over the counter flu medication the way Petra is guzzling gin out of the obscure Ranier Werner Fassbinder, 1972 film, The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant.




Movies like this and other offerings from the art film stock in my library were my aesthetic elixir. I'm feeling better already ~ and inspired to get dressed up again and face the week with some savoir faire and updates!

    Need to see more Fassbinder (have only seen Maria Braun) but that picture is awesome! '70s art films are so much fun to watch. I was just watching one of Truffaut's mid to late '70s films. All the women were just so stylishly gorgeous. They would look fantastic on the street now -- just like Petra von Kant!

    David, I am so very sorry you have not been feeling gd at all and happy t har that you are recovering. The last picture in the pst is just so adorable, mind you I do not really like the 70-s fashion. But in this picture I seem to like everything: frm big hair to the green and red combination.I am wishing you speedy recvery since I know that the flue can make you feel weak fr the longest time. Please, take care of yourself and try to enjoy your Fall.:-)
